After a recent upgrade to ICS from Gingerbread, I observed the below said issues:
1. We are unable to set custom ringtones to users (this was not the case earlier with Gingerbread). The ringtone now "always" defaults to the standard Sony Xperia ringtone.
2. Earlier we were able to set a phone ringtone from the option, Settings --> Sound --> Phone ringtone. Now it appears to select some other sound in the library (don't know on what criteria this selection is done in the first place !!!).
Note: We need to play a certain ringtone using the Media Player first and then select the option "Set as ringtone" for it to be set as a phone ringtone.
3. The Theme and Wallpaper option seem to have been merged. The Theme is also now the wallpaper ! We now cannot have a separate theme and a different wallpaper.
4. The simple "message" has now become 'conversation' where-in all the earlier conversation(s) are displayed. How do I restore it to the simple messaging system I had earlier as I'm not too fond of the conversation style of messaging ?
Would appreciate a patch to resolve these issues with the ICS update.
Note: I would also like to add, I've used "Sony Update Service" for the ICS update and the upgrade was clean and successful. Hence I believe the issues I have mentioned above are due to the ICS upgrade.
